Have you looked at my muselist and thought 'man I'd like to thread with some of those guys!', but didn't want to PM me or any of the accounts involved? Then this is the post for you! Just tag in here asking for a character you want to play with, maybe a scenario too, if you'd like, and we can work something out!

Comments are screened for your privacy (because lord knows i've been embarrassed by some of the things I want to play)

Day in and day out, it's the same. Wake up, run tests, do training, eat carefully structured meals, get injected with something, sleep, repeat. Electrodes, hypos, wires, shocks, spoken commands, bare halls and small rooms.

It's not much of a life, but at least it's stable right?

And boring. He's asked why he had to do all this stuff before - Got an answer, sure, but it was vague. 'Optimum development' this and 'because that's what we want of you' that. The world out there is apparently going to be dangerous for him, that's why they're making sure he can hold and shoot a gun, sure, and it's important for his mental development or whatever if he knows how to take apart something like a flying robot. But after awhile, even hacking robots gets dull.

There's got to be something more to this...

[So here is Jack, back before he got his fake memories. He knows he's got switches in his head, thanks, and it sucks when people use them, thanks. He's generally a well-behaved two year old, but sometimes, sometimes, he would really like to leave the little rooms and white halls of this place he's stuck in. He knows he's not allowed, of course, but god he's bored and curious. And being trained to hack locks and cameras, which is a combination the scientists should have thought a little harder about. Oops.

So! Our options tonight:

option A: Jack has managed to sneak out of the labs, and is trying to look casual and not like he knows he's breaking a million rules. His clothes might be a little mismatched but that could just mean he's uh got a bad fashion sense, not that he stole a bunch of random things from a Fontaine Futuristics lockerroom on his way out the doors. Nope.

option B: You have managed to sneak into the labs (or maybe you work here, w/e), and what's in this room? Gotta be something big to be in Fontaine's secret labs, right?

option C: HOLY SHIT IT'S A TEAR idk how tears work but whatever go nuts

option D: idk bro you're writing the starter do whatever you want]

Maybe you took the wrong turn in Fort Frolic, and found yourself in 'Gallery of Narcissus' (which is of course a Hall of Mirrors). Or, maybe you're rich enough to have a huge walk-in-closet, and while you walked in looking for the light, you just kept going. Or maybe you lost track of where you were wandering in the haze of an ADAM high.

Or some other reason - it doesn't matter. Because now, Jack, you're wandering through a labyrinth of mirrors, and no matter where you turn, you see your face.

You're pretty sure that's your face. You're pretty sure that's you, but - is it moving the same way you are? Are you sure?

((ooc: SO THIS IS HOW IT'S GOING TO GO - first comment/tag wherever in a thread, you list your Jack's info in the thread title, NAME / AU / TIMELINE. Example: Jack Wynand - Good End - Post-Game, or Jack Ryan | Batya | Chapter Nine, or Jackie•FemJack Harvester•Neptune's bounty and so on and so forth. Pretty it up as much as you want but have that basic info in there for your first tag so we know what we're working with!

And after that...! Tag around. We don't have to cram up in one thread! Different Jacks could be meeting at different times, form adventuring parties, cross paths with another pack of Jacks, whatever.

For now we're in a standard multiverse meet up kind of thing, but I figure everyone's acquainted, we could start moving to other locations! :D))

A lot of things have led up to this point. The short of it: He barely escaped a hellhole under the sea with nearly two-dozen children and the scientist who ruined and repaired them, he made a new life for him and the kids on the surface, most of the kids were rehabilitated and adopted (but some stuck around).

Kids started disappearing again. Red lights were seen on the coasts. People were looking for something in the sea.

Jack knew where it was.

So did Tenenbaum - she left first, but Jack followed. She obviously didn't think he would or should, but he did - Rapture was dangerous enough when he left, and hard enough to leave, and he had the benefit of Ryan's genes and half of his company's splicing catalog.

And lo, the Son of Ryan did return to the underwater city of Rapture, much too late for his tastes. And, at the same time, it was one visit more than he ever wanted to make down here - bu that didn't matter, not as much as the missing girls, and the danger they and Tenenbaum could be in.

Speaking of which, he brought his radio with him, and it hangs beside the controls of the bathysphere, switched on and hopefully able to receive a transmission from her, to give him an idea where to dock.

In fact - he is in sight of the city now - maybe that's close enough for her to hear him. He switches the radio on, and sends out a simple message:

"Can anyone hear this?"

[[Taking his post from the Bakerstreet Birthday Meme I left so long ago, and leaving it open for everyone :)]]

[Which one are you celebrating, the one on his passport or the one on his order forms?]

[Either way, Jack really doesn't want to be here. He doesn't like to acknowledge his whole 'age' and 'test tube' thing, but he's fortunately made a lot of good friends who are willing to acknowledge it for him. ♥]

[He's secured to a nice big chair, with a brightly coloured button pinned to his sweater that says 'I'm Five!', and a sparkly paper party hat on his head. He'd be doing a lot more than glaring if 1. he had any EVE and 2. if he wasn't presently gagged.]

[The shrieking can probably be heard through the mansion before the video even comes on. When it does, it's not from a wall terminal - it's a communicator in the hand of something... something seen in flashes of metal and leather as the communicator swings around. Behind it - the decor can eventually be identified as the room with the swimming pool.

The room becomes blurred again as the device is thrown, speakers buzzing from the shriek of the one pitching it. It bounces against a wall, and then the floor, until it comes to a stop, angled. There's already a chunk or two taken out of the floor, and a deck chair plants itself into the wall. There's heavy, metallic footsteps, and then the communicator blurs with movement again - there's the tiles of the floor - metal boots - something like a rod?

Suddenly, the screen is red. Not like it's looking at something, but like it's... flooded with light. It's only like that for a few seconds, however, before a low echoing growl rises from whatever's holding the communicator, and it's violently pitched down. That seems to be the last straw for the device, however - the video shuts off abruptly.

Fortunately for anyone curious, the sounds of shrieking and destruction can be easily heard from outside of the room.]

((ooc: Essentially, you can either attempt to communicate with this lovely lady via communicators or you can check out what's going on in the pool room, because I'm sure someone totally wants to do that.))

They were all gone.

She couldn't feel any of them anymore, not in her head, not even her favourite one with the bright hair and pretty letters. Where did they go?!

... She didn't recognize the beach, and the sea floor looked... Funny. The currents were different, and weak, and the land wasn't right. And she couldn't hear her sisters.

She couldn't be lost. She was a good girl, a brave girl, a smart girl, and she always knew where to go and how to get back. But now, she didn't even know where she was.

It was time to go to the surface. If she knew what the surface people looked like, maybe that would help her find out where she was. And if there was a new sister here, even better.

The sun was setting - now was the time to move. When the sun slept, so did the surface people. Most of the surface people. Less eyes to find and follow her, less chance of the parasites catching her.

She wasn't afraid of the surface. Many of the girls were, but she wasn't. She couldn't be, for a job as important as hers. And with a job so important, she had to get back. She had to find where she was.

The dock is small and wooden and easily scaled - she pulls herself out of the water and waits there, crouched, observing her surroundings.
